I have been making film works for a number of years both as accompaniments to my sound work and as stand alone pieces. I’m in the process of archiving older material now, but here’s a few examples for now till I sort this page out fully.

I have made work for The National Trust, Lakes Alive, Printfest, Age Concern, Barrow Borough Council amongst other and had work featured at festivals across the world.

Clutter live at Open Circuit – Lanternhouse, Ulverston, Cumbria on March 17th 2012.

Film is a slowed down version of Lanternhouse I by Shaun Blezard.

All sounds used are recordings of Lanternhouse and form part of an improvised set.

Original material made during my artist residency at Lanternhouse in 2011 –

These Things Shall Be

These Things Shall Be (Demo) is the first fruits of my work with the interviews I’ve been recording for the Cumbria Remixed Project.

This track features Arthur a brilliant 92 year old fella from Ulverston. The music features processed field recordings and iPhone (playing harp on Thumb Jam).

Camerawork is by Geoff Benson who came to one of the meet the artist days at Lanternhouse and these images are part of his first effort at using a digital film camera
